Recently we did an installation on cedar roofing. This presented some unique problems. We found that the roof needed to be absolutely dry or it was too slippery to perform work.
When drilling pilot holes for lag bolts, we found it necessary to drill a second larger hole to allow the lag to
pass through the cedar and not start
to grab until it reaches the sheathing.
